The sheer size and complexity of Angkor Wat makes a photography heaven. Mainly overcast conditions makes for a diffused light. The best time to take photos of the temples. Your tour guide, Savuth, is more than happy to take photos of you using your camera / phone.
The best lighting is in the morning, as most of the temples face East, except for Angkor Wat, where the best light is in the afternoon as Angot Wat faces West. The temples of Preah Khan and Ta Prohm are surrounded by jungle & some great shots can be had at midday, as the sun breaks through the jungle canopy..An informative high resolution map of the Angkor Wat complex, from Tourism Cambodia, can be found HERE. Warning: It is large and may take a while to open.

Savuth, Your English speaking Tour Guide
As your Tour Guide, I can purchase tickets for you and can assist with any language difficulties you may encounter.
I am born locally and have a great knowledge of the Siem Reap region and massive Angkor Wat complex. I know the best and safest ways to get you to the local attractions, not only the temples but also places such as the Sien Reap Floating Village and Sien Reap Pub Street. I run an air conditioned vehicle plus a reliable Tuk Tuk. (Tuk Tuks only do around 10 kilometres - 6 miles an hour by the way!) I look forward to meeting and serving you.
